Mission Impossible – The Final Reckoning Trailer: Tom Cruise Urges All To Trust Him “One Last Time”

The trailer for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is finally out. The over two-minute video is packed with action, throwbacks and adrenaline.

The clip begins with Tom Cruise hanging off a plane (classic Ethan Hunt move), while someone in the background says, “This can’t all be true.”

The trailer flashes through all the crazy stuff Ethan has done in the past – escaping bombs, sneaking through top-secret places, getting arrested – and now, all his secrets are out. With the world on the edge of chaos, people start to wonder if Ethan Hunt is too dangerous to be left unchecked.

Just like the teaser, this trailer leans into nostalgia. It brings back clips from the very first Mission: Impossible movie (the 1996 one directed by Brian De Palma) and others throughout the franchise. Fans will get a blast from the past while gearing up for what looks like the most intense mission yet.

And this time, the threat is bigger than ever: a rogue AI called The Entity. The world’s falling apart, and Ethan begs his team to trust him for the “one last time.” There’s betrayal, secrets that are no longer safe and the feeling that everything’s coming to an end.

A chilling voiceover hits hard: “Everything you were, everything you’ve done, has come to this. When the need for certainty is absolute and the odds are deemed impossible, the mission falls to him, should he choose to accept.”

Tom Cruise dropped the trailer on Instagram with the caption, “Every choice, every mission, has all led to this. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.”

In February, the makers unveiled the teaser for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. The short clip was all about jaw-dropping stunts and relentless action. Click here to read all about it.

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning also features Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby and Esai Morales in important roles. The film will hit the cinema screens on May 23.

Second Monday Result Of Salman Khan’s Film

New Delhi:

Salman Khan’s Sikandar didn’t turn out his lucky charm at the box office as the film continues to struggle to score big numbers. The film, which released on March 30, minted Rs 1.75 crore on Monday (April 7), taking the total to Rs 104.25 crore. Sikandar crossed the Rs 100 crore mark on 8th day of its release.

Salman Khan’s film opened its box office collection with Rs 26 crore. On Eid, it minted Rs 29 crore. After Eid, the film saw a huge slump in its earnings on April 1, minting only Rs 19.5 crore. The downward trend continued over the weekdays. On Friday (April 4), the film earned Rs 3.5 crore, showing a 41.67 % slump at the box office collection.

Over the last weekend, Sikandar did slightly better in comparison with its weekdays’ business. But it was not enough to pull off a film, made on a budget of Rs 200 crore.

The poor performances of big-budget Hindi films in theatres initiated a conversation around the “dying” state of Bollywood. Needless to say, Salman Khan’s Sikandar would add more fuel to the ongoing chatter. Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2, which smashed records after records in December 2024, earned Rs 27 crore (Hindi) on 9th day of its release.

The numbers of Pushpa 2 were impacted after Allu Arjun was arrested  in connection with a stampede that occurred during the premiere of his film at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad on December 4. However, Pushpa 2 is way ahead of Sikandar from the beginning.

Sikandar marked Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna’s first collaboration on screen. The film also marked Salman Khan’s first project with AR Murugadoss, who previously directed Aamir Khan in the 2008 blockbuster Ghajini.

After he made this comment, Amar got trolled by fans of Shraddha terribly. However, he was seen posing with Shraddha at a party thrown by producer Dinesh Vijan on Monday night. As the actor-director posed together, Shraddha took a jibe at him and said, “Aaj kal yeh bohot jokes maar rahe hai.” On hearing this, Amar literally put his hand on his ears and made a gesture of apology. He then added, “Mujhe darr lag raha hai. Sabse zyada aapke fans se darr lag raha hai.”
Amar said on Komal Nahta’s podcast ‘Game Changers’, “Shraddha ki casting puri ki puri Dinesh Vijan ko jaati hai…Toh Shraddha ke saath kisi flight mein aa rahe the, flight mein unko mili thi. Unki kuch hasi thi toh unhone bola, ‘Amar, woh jab hasti hai na toh ekdum Stree ki tarah, ekdum chudail ki tarah hasti hai’ (The credit for Shraddha’s casting goes to Dinesh Vijan…He was travelling with Shraddha on a flight; they met there. As Amar made this comment, fans of Shraddha started trolling him on social media. A fan of Shraddha shared this video on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “Hey @AmarKaushik, seems like you’ve forgotten who made #Stree2 a hit! When you need hype, you’re all about @ShraddhaKapoor, but behind the scenes, you’re mocking her? Not cool. Show some respect to the talent that brings you success.” Another person said, “These misogynist men are never going to appreciate her work or her acting, but see, this is how they talk!!!!”

When Samantha Ruth Prabhu said she was blessed to have Naga Chaitanya after ending a toxic relationship with rumoured beau Siddharth

When Samantha Ruth Prabhu said she was blessed to have Naga Chaitanya after ending a toxic relationship with rumoured beau Siddharth

Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s divorce from Naga Chaitanya grabbed eyeballs in 2021. Fans of the duo were seen clashing on social media, taking sides and speculating about the reasons behind their separation. Samantha had once spoken warmly of Chaitanya, referring to him as a “blessing” who entered her life at a crucial time. The Kushi actress had also spoken about her rumoured relationship with actor Siddharth.
Samantha was reportedly involved with Siddharth, her co-star from Jabardasth, prior to her romance with her Ye Maaya Chesave co-star, Naga Chaitanya. Although the two were frequently spotted together, their romance didn’t stand the test of time, and they were said to have parted ways in 2015. The reason for their split was never officially revealed, though speculation pointed to differences in commitment levels.

Siddharth on his tweet linked to Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya’s split: ‘I am not responsible’

Soon after her breakup, Samantha found solace in Naga Chaitanya. In an old conversation with MensXP, the Citadel: Honey Bunny star reflected on her emotional state during that phase and how Chaitanya’s presence brought her stability.
“I would have fallen into such a crisis in my personal life, just like actress Savithri. But thankfully, very soon, I realised it in the beginning and walked out of the relationship. This was when I sensed that it could end badly. And then I was blessed to have a person like Naga Chaitanya in my life. He’s a gem,” Samantha shared.

During that period, reports claimed that Siddharth wasn’t ready for marriage. Some even alleged that he grew close to another female colleague, reportedly helping her land a role in a project. There were also murmurs about his discomfort with Samantha’s friendships with her male co-stars.
Amid all the rumours, Samantha once took a stand in support of Siddharth. Dismissing any accusations of betrayal, she publicly clarified that the end of their relationship wasn’t one-sided. She described Siddharth as “a great guy” and made it clear that their breakup did not cast her as a victim.
Siddharth married Aditi Rao Hydari in 2024, following the end of his marriage to Meghna Narayan in 2007.
Naga Chaitanya married actress Sobhita Dhulipala in December last year.

Janane Sethunarayanan impressed with her well-nuanced portrayals

The Music Academy has been organising HCL concerts to encourage talented artistes in the field of performing arts to showcase their skills. Its recent edition featured Bharatanatyam dancer Janane Sethunarayanan. She began her performance with Shanmuga Kavuthuvam in Gowlai raga set to Adi tala. Her subtle depictions of the mayil, vel and Kavadi, associated with the persona of Muruga, combined with dynamic adavus and vibrant footwork, were impressive setting the tone for the recital.

‘Mogalakiri konden’, a varnam composed by Sivanandam, of the Thanjavur Quartet, in raga Thodi, in praise of Rajagopalaswamy of Mannargudi, dealt with the bhava of a nayika pining for her lord. Janane explored this well by using elements such as clouds, birds, bees and animals as sancharis to convey her love for the lord. The portrayal of the magnificent form of lord Rajagopala was dealt with in detail, as Janane highlighted the beauty of the draping of the dhoti for the deity, and the exquisite jewellery that adorn him. . A little more emphasis on abhinaya would enhance her presentation. While her clear footwork and adavus made the jathi korvais stand out Janane needs to infuse more variety in the movement patterns especially in the theermanams, as they looked more repetitive.

In the padam ‘Unnai thoodu anuppinen‘ in raga Saveri, a musical prelude was used to convey the context of the padam clearly. . The transition in the mood of the nayika — from anticipating the arrival of the sakhi who had gone as a messenger to her lord, and the shock on noticing the dishivelled state in which she returns, to the anger and anguish, after realising what would have transpired between them — was communicated well by Janane.

The performance concluded with a thillana, composed by the legendary K.N. Dandayudhapani Pillai, and choreographed by Rakesh, who also wielded the cymbals.

The orchestra comprised Srikanth Gopalakrishnan on the vocals, Shivprasadh on the mridangam , Vishwesh Devarajan on the violin, Nagaraj on the flute.
