Pakistani host Nadia Khan praises Diljit Dosanjh for casting Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3 despite backlash: 'He is a Sikh brother... Darte kisi se nahi hai'
Amidst controversy over Hania Aamir’s casting in Sardaar Ji 3, Pakistani host Nadia Khan supports Diljit Dosanjh and the filmmakers for releasing the film internationally. Despite backlash from Indian audiences and industry bodies demanding action, the team stands by their decision. The film will proceed with its international release, sparking debate on art versus politics.

As controversy brews in India over the casting of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3, the film is receiving unexpected support across the border. Pakistani television host and actress Nadia Khan has praised Diljit Dosanjh and the filmmakers for standing by their project and releasing it internationally despite mounting criticism. With social media divided and industry bodies demanding action, the cross-border collaboration has once again reignited the debate on art versus politics. In a viral video clip from her show, Nadia addresses the Sardaar Ji 3 controversy, applauding the filmmakers for sticking to their release plans despite mounting pressure. She praised Diljit Dosanjh and the all-Sikh team for standing their ground and moving ahead with the film’s June 27 release featuring Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. She also expressed admiration for the strategic silence maintained by the Sardaar Ji 3 team. She noted how the quiet promotion led many to believe that Hania Aamir had been removed from the film. However, with the release of the trailer, it became clear that Hania features prominently, and Diljit Dosanjh, one of India’s biggest stars today, continues to have massive public support.Acknowledging the intense backlash from Indian audiences, Nadia pointed out that Diljit Dosanjh is facing criticism, with some even labelling him a traitor. Despite this, she noted that the actor appears unfazed and determined to go ahead with the release. She also expressed her hope that the film will eventually be screened in Pakistan. However, the decision to proceed with the film’s release has drawn sharp criticism from a section of Indian audiences and industry bodies. After Diljit Dosanjh shared the trailer on Instagram, many social media users slammed him for being “insensitive” and “shameless” for working with a Pakistani actress amid heightened tensions. In response to the controversy, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has called for a complete ban on Diljit Dosanjh’s concerts and demanded the suspension of all his social media accounts in India. The association also urged that no government or private entity collaborate with him and called for a probe into the funding of Sardaar Ji 3.Adding to the backlash, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has urged the government to “blacklist” the makers of Sardaar Ji 3. The organisation also appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to revoke their passports and Indian citizenship in light of the film’s collaboration with a Pakistani actress.Responding to the growing criticism, the production team of Sardaar Ji 3 released an official statement on June 24, clarifying that the film was completed well before the recent Pahalgam terror attack. They emphasised that no Pakistani artist was signed or brought on board after the tragic incident, and the collaboration had occurred much earlier.Acknowledging the sensitive timing, the makers further stated that they stand in solidarity with the nation and its people. Given the prevailing sentiment, they had consciously chosen not to release the film or any promotional material in India until the situation becomes more appropriate. As of now, Sardaar Ji 3 will have a theatrical release only in international markets starting June 27.

Shukla soars, India scores: ISS welcomes its first Bharatiya- what next?

NEW DELHI: The International Space Station welcomed its first Indian aboard with Shubhanshu Shukla floating out among hugs and cheers. The recently launched spacecraft, Grace, the fifth in the Dragon series, successfully performed a soft docking with the International Space Station at 16.01 IST while passing over the North Atlantic Ocean on Thursday.Shukla has become the second Indian to travel to space, nearly four decades after Rakesh Sharma’s historic flight in 1984. Accompanying him on the Axiom-4 mission are Slawosz Uznanski-Wisniewski, marking Poland’s return to space since 1978, and Tibor Kapu, the first Hungarian astronaut in 45 years. The crew lifted off from Nasa‘s Kennedy Space Center on Wednesday.

What’s next for India?

Gananyaan: It is India’s indigenous human spaceflight programme expected to launch by 2027. With this, the nation seeks to join the elite club of countries including the Soviet Union (now Russia), the United States, and China that have independently achieved manned space missions.India has showcased its space prowess through major achievements, such as deploying an orbiter around Mars and executing a successful soft landing of a robotic spacecraft near the Moon’s south pole.Shukla’s space experiments aboard the Axiom-4 mission are designed to directly support Gaganyaan programme. His research focuses on how microgravity affects plant growth, muscle loss, mental health, and microbial behavior—vital areas for long-term human spaceflight. He’s also studying tardigrades to understand survival mechanisms in extreme conditions. These experiments aim to develop sustainable space food systems, ensure astronaut well-being, and strengthen life support strategies for future Indian space missions.NISAE satellite: Nasa and Isro are set to launch the $1.5 billion NISAR satellite in July from India’s Satish Dhawan Space Centre. This advanced Earth-observing mission will use high-precision radar to monitor surface changes around the clock, providing crucial data on farming, climate, natural disasters, and more. Most Earth-observing satellites are limited by daylight and clear weather, making them less effective in cloudy or nighttime conditions. The Nasa-Isro NISAR mission addresses this gap with advanced radar technology that allows 24/7, all-weather imaging. This will enable more accurate and consistent monitoring of natural disasters, environmental shifts, and farming trends. With its global applications, NISAR is expected to be a game-changer for scientists, farmers, and disaster response teams worldwide.

LaVar Arrington casts doubt on Pittsburgh Steelers’ Aaron Rodgers’ move as risky | NFL News

If there’s one thing NFL fans can always count on, it’s that LaVar Arrington won’t hold back. And when news broke that the Pittsburgh Steelers had signed Aaron Rodgers, the former Pro Bowl linebacker didn’t mince words. While some fans saw visions of Lombardi Trophies dancing in their heads, Arrington saw something else. Well, according to him, it was pretty much a marketing move dressed up like a football decision. “I feel bad… more about his name than it is about his game today…looking at it with a critical eye, I just don’t understand how you think this can work,” Arrington said on the show 2 Pros and a Cup of Joe.

Aaron Rodgers could be the new legacy or liability?

The video was released on Fox Sports Radio’s YouTube channel on 26th June 2025

Does Aaron Rodgers Miss Green Bay? l 2 PROS & A CUP OF JOE

As the NFL braces for the 2025 season, Rodgers-to-Steelers is already shaping up to be one of the league’s most polarizing storylines. And Arrington might be voicing the concern that many are afraid to say out loud. It’s hard to argue with Aaron Rodgers’ resume. Four NFL MVPs. A Super Bowl ring. A reputation as one of the most accurate and creative quarterbacks to ever play the game. Rodgers is heading into the 2025 season at 41 years old, turning 42 in December. His stint with the Jets in 2023 was infamously brief. He is just four snaps before tearing his Achilles tendon. He returned in 2024 and had a decent year by most standards: 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. But after a full season and an early playoff exit, the Jets moved on, releasing him in March 2025.To Arrington, the Steelers’ decision to scoop him up was more of a headline-grabber than a game-changer. “I just don’t see how it can work,” he said, pointing to Rodgers’ age, recent injury history, and the physical demands of an AFC North schedule.

Pittsburgh Steelers’ gamble in a “win-now” window

With defensive studs like T.J. Watt and Minkah Fitzpatrick in their prime, the team is clearly eyeing a Super Bowl push before the window closes. That makes the addition of Rodgers, who signed a one-year, $13.6 million deal with incentives that could push it to $19.5 million, both thrilling and terrifying. The team’s QB depth chart includes Mason Rudolph, re-signed in 2025, and rookie Will Howard, a sixth-round draft pick. And skepticism isn’t limited to Arrington. ESPN’s Ryan Clark compared the Rodgers gamble to a Disney villain arc, calling it a move that could cause “a wasted season.” Clark warned of the clash in personalities, especially in the passing game. But not everyone is throwing shade. James Jones, a Rodgers supporter, believes he instantly makes Pittsburgh playoff-worthy. Robert Griffin III chimed in, saying the move will “work out better than people think.” As for Rodgers, he’s not shying away from the stakes. He confirmed this will “pretty sure” be his final NFL season, calling the move a search for “soul satisfaction.” So here we are, Rodgers, Metcalf, Tomlin, and a city that lives and breathes in black and gold. But will it all mesh in time to make a run? Also Read: Gerry Philbin, ex-DE for New York Jets and Super Bowl III Champion passes away at the age of 83 due to dementia | NFL News – Times of India

Amit Shah’s big take on languages: ‘Hindi friend of all’; says ‘no opposition to foreign tongues’ | India News

Amit Shah's big take on languages: 'Hindi friend of all'; says 'no opposition to foreign tongues'

NEW DELHI: Union home minister Amit Shah on Thursday said that Hindi was a “friend to all Indian languages”, adding that there should be “no opposition” to any foreign tongues. This comes as several political parties have criticised the Centre over three-language policy, accusing it of Hindi imposition.“I sincerely believe that Hindi can’t be opposed (‘virodhi’) to any Indian language. Hindi is a friend (‘sakhi’) of all Indian languages,” Amit Shah said. Shah was addressing the golden jubilee celebrations of the central government’s official language department.“There is no opposition to any language. There should not be any opposition to any foreign language. But there should be an urge to glorify one’s own language, there should be an urge to speak one’s own language, there should be an urge to think in one’s own language,” he added.Shah also remarked that for the nation, language goes beyond being a tool for communication — it embodies the very soul of the country.“It is important to keep Indian languages alive and enrich them. We should make all efforts in the coming days for all Indian languages, especially for the official language,” he said.Row over language erupted after Tamil Nadu government opposed the Centre’s three-language formula under the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020 with CM MK Stalin calling it “Hindi colonialism”.Recently, a political standoff emerged in Maharashtra over the Mahayuti government’s decision to make Hindi the third compulsory language under NEP. While the BJP defended the move as a step toward national linguistic unity, opposition parties, led by Uddhav Thackeray’s Sena (UBT), accused the government of attempting to “Hindi-fy” the state.
