Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Reportedly Set to Launch in May; Pricing Leaked Ahead of Galaxy Unpacked Event

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge was first teased during the company’s first Galaxy Unpacked event in January, and the upcoming Galaxy S25 series phone then made a brief appearance at MWC 2025. The flagship was previously expected to land in markets on April 15, but a new report from Korea suggests that the Galaxy Unpacked event for the Galaxy S25 Edge will take place in the third week of May. The phone will initially be available in South Korea and China, according to the report. However, Samsung has yet to confirm the device’s launch date officially.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Price, Launch and Sale Dates Leak

As per a report by FNN News (in Korean), Samsung will host a Galaxy Unpacked launch event on May 13 to release the Galaxy S25 Edge. Detailed specifications, colour options and price details of the phone will be revealed during the event. It is said to be available for pre-order from May 14 to May 20.

The Galaxy S25 Edge will reportedly go on sale first in China and Korea on May 23. Other markets, including the US, are expected to get the device a week later on May 30. It appears that Samsung may have accelerated the launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge.

With Apple rumoured to unveil the iPhone 17 Air with a thin build in September, Samsung seems to be aiming for a competitive edge in the ‘thinness race’ by releasing its new devices ahead of the Cupertino company.

Further, the report states that Galaxy S25 Edge will be priced at KRW 1.5 million (roughly Rs. 87,000) for the 256GB storage model and KRW 1.63 million (roughly Rs. 97,000) for the 512GB storage variant. The price point suggests that it will sit between the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Specifications (Expected)

As mentioned, the Galaxy S25 Edge was first teased at the launch of the Galaxy S25 series in January and has since been showcased at MWC 2025. Previous leaks indicated an April 15 launch date for the phone.

Samsung is likely to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset on the Galaxy S25 Edge. It could feature 12GB RAM and a 6.6-inch display. It is rumoured to measure 5.84mm in thickness. Its dual rear camera unit is expected to include a 200-megapixel primary sensor and a 12-megapixel secondary shooter.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will reportedly have a 3,900mAh battery with 25W charging support. It is likely to be available in Titanium IcyBlue, Titanium Jetblack, and Titanium Silver colourways, like the Galaxy S25 Ultra

How Does the Tab S Pen Work? / The Tech Behind the Tab S Pen

Before taking a look at its benefits, it’s important to understand how the S Pen works flawlessly on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S Series

This layer also detects the S Pen’s position, pressure levels, and tilt, enabling high-precision writing and sketching. The system includes palm rejection, so when the S Pen is close to the screen, it automatically ignores accidental touches from your hand.

iPhone 17 Air With Ultra-Slim Design Spotted via Leaked Dummy Units; Tipped to Arrive With Support 12GB of RAM

iPhone 17 Air could make its debut alongside the base iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models later this year, and dummy units of the purported handset have surfaced online once again. Recently, a video showcased the slimness of the Air variant against other models. The leaked images of iPhone 17 series dummy units give us another look at how slim the phone could be. Leaked details about the purported handset, including key features and likely dimensions, have recently been spotted on social media platforms.

iPhone 17 Air Dimensions, Specifications (Expected)

The purported iPhone 17 Air will be considerably thinner than its counterparts in the upcoming lineup, according to leaked images of the iPhone 17 series’ dummy units shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Sonny Dickson (@SonnyDickson). The images show the left, right, and bottom edges of all four variants.

The Air variant of the iPhone 17 lineup is the thinnest, with barely any space for the USB Type-C port or the side buttons. It has been tipped to measure 5.65mm at its thinnest point. The handset is seen to be taller than the standard and iPhone 17 Pro models. The top of the line iPhone 17 Pro Max model appears to be the tallest and thickest of the lot.

Due to its reduced slimness, the iPhone 17 Air is expected to pack a smaller battery than the other models and feature a single rear camera unit. It may be equipped with 12GB of RAM, just like the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max variants, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Kuo says that Apple is also considering shipping the standard iPhone 17 with 12GB of RAM as well. Concerns about “potential supply shortages” may still cause the company to equip it with 8GB of RAM. A final decision on the matter is expected to be made by the company in May.

The analyst further claimed that all models in the forthcoming iPhone 18 lineup, which is not expected until the second half of 2026, will likely feature 12GB of RAM. This move is expected due to “intensifying competition in the smartphone market,” he added.

Earlier leaks claimed that the iPhone 17 Air may sport a 6.6-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 24-megapixel selfie shooter and a 48-megapixel single rear camera. It is expected to be powered by an A18 or A19 chipset, the handset will likely have a titanium frame and could cost between $1,299 and $1,500 (roughly Rs. 1,09,00 to 1,26,000).

8 Health Parameters You Can Monitor on Galaxy Watch Ultra & Why They Matter

Tracking your health has become an essential part of reaching fitness goals and staying on top of your overall well-being, especially when it comes to keeping your heart healthy. Whether you’re working on improving endurance, managing your weight, or just staying active, having access to the right data helps you make smarter choices. And when it comes to heart health, being able to monitor things like heart rate and stress levels can prevent bigger issues down the road.

Wearable technology has come a long way, evolving from simple step trackers to devices that now monitor everything from sleep patterns to oxygen levels and even ECGs. Leading the charge in this evolution are the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra and Watch7, offering cutting-edge features that make health tracking easier and more reliable than ever.

Check out these eight key health metrics that the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Watch7 can monitor, helping you take your fitness journey to the next level.

1. Energy Score

SM L705 31 galaxy ai pc 0710 energy

The Energy Score on the Galaxy Watch7 and Watch Ultra is a great tool for understanding how ready you are to take on the day. Powered by Galaxy AI, it calculates your physical readiness based on the activity you did yesterday. So, if you had a heavy workout or a long run, your score might be a bit lower the next day, indicating you may need more recovery or a lighter workout. On the other hand, if you had a restful day, your score could be higher, signaling that you’re ready to take on something more intense.

This personalised score helps you plan your workouts with more precision, making it easier to balance effort and recovery. For example, if your Energy Score is low, you might opt for a yoga session or a brisk walk to stay active without overdoing it. If your score is high, you can confidently crush your goals with a more intense workout, knowing your body is prepared. Over time, you can use the Energy Score to track your progress, challenge yourself to improve daily, and push yourself closer to your fitness goals.

2. Blood Pressure

With the Galaxy Watch7 and Watch Ultra, keeping track of your blood pressure is easier than ever—though there’s a small first step involved. To get started, you’ll need to calibrate the watch using a traditional cuff-based blood pressure monitor. This ensures the readings are accurate and reliable. Once that’s done, you can simply use the Samsung Health Monitor app built into the watch to start taking your blood pressure whenever you need.

For instance, let’s say you’re monitoring your blood pressure as part of a wellness routine or due to health concerns. You can take regular readings throughout the day, whether you’re relaxing at home or out for a walk. The app will track your results over time, letting you spot trends and changes. This makes it easy to stay on top of your health without constantly needing to visit a clinic, and it’s a great way to keep your doctor updated with real-time data.

3. ECG with IHRN

The Galaxy Watch7 and Watch Ultra take heart health to the next level with their ECG feature and the IHRN (Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification) function, which can be a real game-changer, especially for those with heart concerns. This feature, available through the Samsung Health Monitor app, uses the watch’s BioActive Sensor to keep an eye on your heart rhythm throughout the day, even when you’re not actively checking. If it detects any irregularities that might suggest atrial fibrillation (AFib), a condition that increases the risk of stroke, it will prompt you to take an ECG. This provides an easy and reliable way to monitor your heart health, giving you valuable insights in real time.

The constant monitoring of your heart rate and rhythm means you don’t have to worry about missing anything important. For those at risk of AFib or with a family history of heart disease, this could be a lifesaver. Detecting AFib early means you can seek treatment before it leads to more serious issues. This feature truly has the potential to save lives by giving users the tools to stay proactive about their heart health, all from the convenience of their wrist.

4. AGEs Index

The Samsung Galaxy Watch7 and Watch Ultra offer a unique feature that tracks Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs), providing a deeper insight into your metabolic health and biological aging. AGEs are byproducts that build up in your body over time due to factors like poor diet, stress, and lifestyle choices. As we age, the accumulation of these compounds increases, which can potentially lead to health issues like diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and even cognitive decline. By monitoring your AGEs index, these watches offer a way to assess how your habits are affecting your long-term health.

For example, if you tend to have a high-sugar diet or lead a sedentary lifestyle, the watch might indicate a higher level of AGEs, which could signal a higher risk for developing certain conditions later in life. On the flip side, if you’re making healthy choices, like eating a balanced diet and staying active, the AGEs index can show that your metabolic health is in better shape. With this data, you can make more informed decisions about your diet and lifestyle, possibly slowing down biological aging and lowering the risk of related health problems. It’s like having a personal health coach on your wrist, helping you understand how your daily habits impact your overall well-being.

5. BMI With Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis

The Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra come equipped with a Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) sensor that measures your body composition, offering valuable insights into your fitness. This sensor works by sending microcurrents through your body to detect the amounts of skeletal muscle, fat, and water. The best part is that it only takes a few seconds to get these measurements, so you can track your progress quickly and easily, right from your wrist.

For example, if you’re focusing on building muscle or losing fat, the BIA sensor provides real-time data on how your body is responding to your workouts and diet. Let’s say you’ve been following a strength training routine for a few weeks; the watch can show you how much muscle mass you’ve gained and whether your fat percentage has decreased. Conversely, if you’re looking to lose weight or improve your overall fitness, the sensor helps you track how your body is changing over time. With this data, you can make adjustments to your routine, ensuring you’re staying on track with your goals and making progress in a healthy, informed way.

6. Sleep Score

SM L705 33 sleep monitoring pc 0710 sleep

The Samsung Galaxy Watch7 and Watch Ultra do more than just tell you how long you slept—they actually help you understand how well you slept with a personalized sleep score. After a night of wearing the watch, you’ll get a rating in the Samsung Health app that sums up your sleep quality with labels like Excellent, Good, Fair, or Needs Attention. It’s based on metrics like how long you slept, how restful it was, how your body and mind recovered, and how consistent your sleep cycles were.

This feature is super helpful if you’ve ever woken up feeling off and wondered why. Maybe you’re getting enough hours but not enough deep or REM sleep, or maybe stress is affecting your rest without you realising it. The sleep score gives you a clearer picture, helping you tweak your habits, like winding down earlier or cutting back on caffeine to sleep better. And when you sleep better, you recover better, feel more energised, and can take on the day with more focus.

7. Stress

The Galaxy Watch7 and Watch Ultra have a pretty smart way of letting you know when it’s time to slow down. By tracking your heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV), they can give you a stress score—ranging from 0 to 100—right in the Samsung Health app. You can even set the watch to monitor stress levels throughout the day, which comes in handy when things start feeling a bit overwhelming without you even realising it.

And here’s the best part: when your stress levels are running high, the watch doesn’t just point it out, it helps you manage it. You’ll get prompts to take a break and try some breathing exercises, which are built right into the app. It’s a small thing, but it can make a big difference. Sometimes all you need is a moment to pause, breathe deeply, and reset, and the Galaxy Watch7 and Watch Ultra are like a gentle nudge on your wrist reminding you to do just that.

8. SpO2 (Blood Oxygen)

The SpO2 sensor on the Galaxy Watch7 and Watch Ultra quietly does some important work behind the scenes. It measures the oxygen saturation in your blood—basically, how well your body is delivering oxygen where it’s needed. Using red and infrared light, the watch reads how much light your blood absorbs and translates that into a percentage, giving you insight into your breathing efficiency and overall wellness.

It’s especially handy if you’re working out, sleeping, or spending time at high altitudes. Let’s say you’re hiking up a mountain or traveling somewhere with thinner air, this feature gives you peace of mind by letting you check your oxygen levels with just a glance.

Prioritising your health starts with the right tools, and the Galaxy Watch7 and Watch Ultra are built to support that journey. So, are you ready to take the next step? Visit Samsung.com and explore what these powerful wearables can do for you.

Adobe Releases Firefly Image Model 4 Ultra, Integrates Third-Party Models from Google, OpenAI

Adobe announced a slew of new features and improvements at its annual Adobe Max conference on Thursday. The software giant announced new Firefly artificial intelligence (AI) models, support for third-party models, new Adobe Express features, and a new Firefly mobile app. The company also unveiled its Adobe Boards tool for storyboard creation, and a Vector model to let designers create editable vector-based artworks. The company also announced that its Adobe Firefly Video model, which was teased last year, is now generally available to subscribers.

Adobe Firefly Image 4 AI Models Released

In a blog post, the software giant detailed the two new text-to-image AI models. Dubbed Image Model 4 and Image Model 4 Ultra, these are the successors to the company’s Image Model 3 series, introduced last year.

With the Model 4 series, Adobe claims that users will see significant improvement in accuracy, prompt fidelity, and realism in generated images. The Firefly Image Model 4 is geared towards faster image generation, and the company says it is best suited for creating simple illustrations, icons, and basic photo objects.

On the other hand, the Image Model 4 Ultra is the flagship-grade AI model, and the company claims that it can generate photorealistic scenes, human portraits, and complex imagery. Both models come with features such as filters, style options, and match compositions. These are now available with Firefly subscriptions.

New Features in the Firefly App

Separately, Adobe also introduced several other Firefly-based tools. The new Adobe Vector Model can generate editable vector-based artwork, logo variations, product packaging, icons, scenes, patterns, and more using natural language text prompts. It can be accessed within the Firefly app.

A new Firefly Boards tool is also available in the Firefly app in public beta. The interface lets users work on storyboards, mood boards, or explore concepts. Initially unveiled as Project Concept, the tool offers a text-to-image generator, various AI-powered creation and editing tools, as well as an inline AI editor feature. Adobe says the platform is suitable for iterating on different variations of ideas and refining them.

Further, the Adobe Firefly Video model is finally generally available to all users. The video generation tool was first unveiled in September 2023.

Apart from in-house innovation, Adobe is also expanding the Firefly app with third-party AI models. Currently, users can access OpenAI’s image generation capabilities and Google’s Image 3 and Veo 2, as well as the Flux 1.1 Pro, which used to power Grok’s image generation feature, before the release of xAI’s native Aurora model. “Adobe also plans to integrate additional models from partners including fal.ai, Ideogram, Luma, Pika and Runway in the coming months,” the company said.

Notably, Firefly has several paid subscription plans for individuals, students, and teams. The starting plan for individuals, Firefly Standard, is priced at $9.99 (roughly Rs. 852) per month.

New Features in Adobe Express

The company also introduced several new features in Adobe Express, its content creation platform. Most of the new features are aimed at video editing. Adobe says these features will eliminate the tedious parts of creating video content.

A new Clip Maker feature will let users turn longer video footage into shareable clips using AI. The AI feature will also let users optimise the content by identifying key moments, adding captions, and reframing clips.

The company is also adding a Firefly Video Model-powered video generation tool that accepts both text and images as input to generate custom b-roll and background footage. Another Enhance Speech tool removes background noise, while Video Self-Record allows users to record themselves within Adobe Express.

Additionally, the Drop Zone tool can compile clips into sequences while Scene View rearranges clips, so users can batch-edit videos in a single flow. Adobe Express is also being integrated with Vimeo to let users directly export and publish their content on the platform.

Apart from video editing, the content creation platform is adding a Dynamic Animation tool that adds natural motion effects to objects to turn still images into animated photos.

For enterprise users, the Generate Similar feature can create a collection of visual assets by taking reference from a single on-brand image. Adobe is also adding more than 30 new filters to try out inside the Adobe Express app.
