Boat to Partner With Safari for Launch of Smart Luggage in India During Amazon Prime Day 2025

Boat announced a partnership with luggage and travel accessories company Safari Industries during a Prime Day 2025 event held in New Delhi on Monday. As part of the ‘Safari x Boat’ collaboration, the Indian smart wearable brand will launch new smart luggage during the upcoming Amazon Prime Day sale, which is to be held in the country between July 12 and 14. While details are currently under wraps, Safari already has a couple of smart luggage items in its portfolio, powered by Boat Tag.

Safari x Boat Smart Luggage Launch on Prime Day

At the Amazon Prime Day 2025 event, the e-commerce giant announced the upcoming launch of Safari smart luggage in collaboration with Aman Gupta’s Boat. Although specifics are yet to be revealed, we can expect the smart luggage to use Boat’s Bluetooth tracker to enable location tracking services.

It may allow users to track the smart luggage if it is lost at the airport, or even stolen, leveraging Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). This technology powers the Boat Tag and enables tracking of misplaced items such as bags, keys, or wallets.

Since it is expected to use the same technology as the Boat Tag, the Safari smart luggage may offer real-time updates on its whereabouts to the user through the Google’s Find Hub app. It is also speculated to have compatibility with Google’s network, enabling features like unknown tracker alerts and Fast Pair support. However, this is purely based on speculation and thus, must be read with a pinch of salt.

Meanwhile, Safari Industries already has a couple of smart luggage listed on its website, one of which is the Safari Trackr GPS Enabled Trolley Bag. Part of the company’s Trackr lineup, the smart luggage comes with the Boat Tag and offers location tracking features.

It is compatible with both Android and iOS devices, through the Find Hub and Find My apps, respectively. Having the Boat Bluetooth tracker integrated with the trolley, the Safari Trackr smart luggage enables users to play a sound and get directions to it, if it is lost or stolen. The Boat Tag comes with a one-year warranty, while the luggage itself has a five-year warranty period.

It’s selling price begins at Rs. 4,499 on the official Safari Industries website for the cabin-sized bag, whereas the medium and large sizes cost Rs. 5,999 and Rs .6,999, respectively.

We can expect more details about the Safari x Boat smart luggage to surface during the Amazon Prime Day 2025 sale, which kicks off on July 12.

iOS 26 Beta 3 Update for iPhone Released With New Stock Wallpapers, Darker Liquid Glass Appearance

Apple on Monday released iOS 26 Beta 3 for iPhone. The latest update brings several visual tweaks over the previous iteration that was introduced in June. As per the Cupertino-based tech giant, there are more colour choices for the stock wallpaper for home and lock screens. The update is said to have also adjusted the appearance of the new Liquid Glass interface, which now has a darker colouration in several apps as compared to the iOS 26 Beta 2 update.

iOS 26 Beta 3 Update for iPhone: What’s New

One of the key changes in iOS 26 Beta 3 is the appearance of the Liquid Glass UI. Introduced at WWDC 2025, Apple said it brings glass-like iconography to the iPhone. It is a translucent material design which reflects and refracts its surrounding visual elements. The company then rolled out the new design with the initial iOS 26 Beta 1 update, but feedback has been far from positive.

Some users complained about text being unreadable when a light-coloured wallpaper was applied, while others simply didn’t like it at all.

Since then, Apple has been changing the appearance of the UI with every succeeding beta update, and iOS 26 Beta 3 is no different. The latest update for iPhone brings a slightly darker appearance to the design language which could potentially increase legibility. This is said to be the most noticeable in media player in Apple Music and Podcasts apps.

Meanwhile, users also have a more diverse set of colours to choose from when applying stock wallpapers. They can select between Shadow, Sky, Halo, and Dusk. The differences between the four wallpaper options are even more prominent when Dark Mode is applied.

Further, the icons in the iPhone dock will still be centred even if less than four are placed. Previously, they aligned to the left. Other changes include minor tweaks to icons for Files and Photos apps.

iOS 26 Beta 3: Who Can Download

According to Apple, iOS 26 Beta 3 is offered as a free over-the-air (OTA) software update to registered Apple developers and beta testers on iPhone 11 and later models. However, the Apple Intelligence features are limited to the iPhone 16 series as well as the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

iOS 26 is expected to be released publicly in September alongside the iPhone 17 lineup.

UIDAI Updates List of Valid Documents for Aadhaar Enrollment and Updation: How to Update Aadhaar Card Online

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has released an updated list of documents which are accepted for enrollment or updation of the Aadhaar card, under the Aadhaar (Enrolment and Update) First Amendment Regulations, 2025, and have come into effect July 2. To begin with, any document that has been uploaded as address proof, such as a voter ID or bank passbook, should be verifiable by UIDAI either digitally or via offline medium using online systems. Further, there is also a new regulation for persons holding multiple Aadhaar cards.

One Person One Aadhaar

The authority has announced a new regulation that concerns citizens holding more than one Aadhaar number. In such a case, the Aadhaar number assigned at the earliest and which contains biometric information (containing fingerprint and iris scans) of the holder will be retained, while all of the others will be omitted.

However, if none of the Aadhaar numbers are verified through biometric means, the one allotted earlier shall still be considered.

Updated List of Required Documents

The list of updated documents applies to Indian residents, overseas citizens of India (OCI), non-resident Indians (NRIs), long-term Visa (LTV) holders, children above five years of age, and foreign nationals. The document requirements have been categorised on the basis of four criterias:

  1. Proof of Identity (PoI)
  2. Proof of Address (PoA)
  3. Proof of Relationship (PoR)
  4. Date of Birth (DoB)

UIDAI says a passport is considered a valid document across all four categories. PAN card, voter ID, driving licence, and government-issued photo IDs are acceptable as identity proof, provided they are verifiable. For address proof, citizens can submit voter ID, ration card, passbook from a PSU bank, Kisan Passbook, and bank or post office account statement.

Other accepted documents include, pensioner photo IDs, marriage certificate, marksheet from a recognised board or university, and other government-issued certificates, based on the requirement.

However, citizens of Nepal and Bhutan, other foreign nationals, OCI cardholders, and LTV holders may also need to submit additional documents for Aadhaar enrollment or updation, as per UIDAI. You can access the list of all documents considered as valid by UIDAI through here.

The authority allows citizens to update their Aadhaar online but the functionality is limited to change in address. Other demographic details, such as name, date of birth, and gender, along with a change in phone number or photo, will have to be updated through a physical visit to an Aadhaar Enrollment Centre.

How to Update Address Aadhaar Card Online

  1. Navigate to UIDAI’s Self-Service Update Portal here
  2. Enter your Aadhaar number and authenticate the login details via OTP sent to the registered number
  3. Next, select the Update Address in Aadhaar option on the screen and click on Proceed after going through the instructions.
  4. Select if you wish to update Aadhaar by area pin code or by address. Enter the new address in the given text field and select Submit
  5. Upload a valid document for verification of the address, such as a utility bill, passport, or bank statement
  6. Submit the form. You will receive a Service Request Number (SRN) for tracking the updation request

However, citizens should note that merely submitting the Aadhaar update request does not mean it will get updated. The new address will be authenticated before it can be added to the UIDAI records. The new address submitted by you will be verified for authentication purposes before it is entered into the records, meaning you must be sure to enter the correct details.
