Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Could Drop a Key Design Feature of the Galaxy Z Fold 6

The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on July 9, where the company will unveil its next generation of foldables. Reservations for the upcoming Galaxy phones are currently live, as well. As we near the launch date, a new render of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has leaked on the Web. The leaked image suggests that Samsung has dropped the metal camera ring design seen in last year’s model from the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The phone can be seen with a triple rear camera setup. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to ship with the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset. The phone could feature a slim and lightweight design.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Leaked Render Shows Rear Design

Well-known tipster Ice Universe has shared a new alleged render of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 on X (formerly Twitter). The new model seems to have a similar design to the Galaxy Z Fold 6, but we can still see a few differences. The image lacks the colour-matched rings around the rear camera lenses. Last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 and this year’s Galaxy S25 lineup feature thicker metallic rings surrounding the lenses. They stand out noticeably on the rear side of the phones.

The tipster claims that Samsung has decided to drop the camera rings design — dubbed ‘Saturn Ring Design’ — from the final mass production version of the phone after the Galaxy S25 series camera rings faced wide criticism from users. The new render shows the phone in a blue shade with a vertically arranged triple camera setup. The tipster states that Samsung may also remove the thick metal camera rings from next year’s Galaxy S26 series.

Samsung will host the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event on July 9 in New York. The event will be livestreamed from 10:00am ET (7:30 pm IST) on YouTube and Samsung’s social channels. New Galaxy devices are currently available for pre-reservations in India.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset. It is said to get a 6.5-inch external display and an 8-inch internal screen. The phone could measure 4.2mm in the unfolded state and 8.9mm when folded. It is said to weigh 215g.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Voice Actor Hints a Remake Is in Development

Ubisoft is working on remakes of several older Assassin’s Creed games, one of which is rumoured to be a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. The pirate adventure game launched in 2013 and remains one of the most popular entries in the series. A voice actor from the original game has now hinted that a Black Flag remake is in the works.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Remake Hinted

Matt Ryan, the actor who voiced Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag protagonist Edward Kenway, teased a remake of the game while interacting with a fan at a recent convention. In a video of the interaction uploaded to X by user @SuperDropKick17 (as spotted by VGC), Ryan can be seen saying that the fan might have to beat Black Flag again, before adding that he “can’t say anything”.

The actor asked the fan if he had beaten Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, to which the fan replied that he had a while ago. “Well, you might have to beat it again,” Ryan responded.

The fan then said he might replay all Assassin’s Creed games. “But especially this one,” Ryan replied. “There’s a reason I say that, but I can’t say anything.”

The actor’s comment suggests Ubisoft is working on a Black Flag remake. Last year, an Insider Gaming report claimed that the project was “well into development” and could launch in late 2025.

In July last year, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said the company was working on multiple remakes of older Assassin’s Creed games. He did not, however, mention the AC titles that were being remade.

In March, Ubisoft launched the newest Assassin’s Creed game, Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The action-adventure title is set in feudal Japan and features dual protagonists.

Following the release of Shadows, Ubisoft said it was delaying some of its “biggest productions” to allow for additional development time and create “best conditions for success”. While the company did not specify the games being delayed, the announcement suggested the company’s biggest franchises, which include Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry and Rainbow Six, could be delayed.

Ubisoft is also working on several new Assassin’s Creed games. These include Ubisoft Montreal’s Assassin’s Creed: Codename Hexe, which is said to be set during the witch trials in the Holy Roman Empire. The company is also developing Assassin’s Creed Jade, a mobile only title, and a standalone multiplayer AC game.

Qwen VLo Image Generation AI Model Released, Offers Image Generation and Editing for Free

Alibaba’s Qwen team released a new image generation artificial intelligence (AI) model last week. Dubbed Qwen VLo, it is a successor to the Qwen 2.5 vision language model and comes with several upgrades compared to the older models. The latest AI image model supports both text-to-image and image-to-image generation. It also supports text input in multiple languages, including English and Chinese. Apart from image generation, the AI model is also capable of making inline edits to generated images as well as input images.

Qwen VLo Accepts Prompts in Multiple Languages

In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), the official handle of the Qwen team announced the release of the new model. The model’s technical name is Qwen3-235B-A22B, and it is available on the company’s chat interface for free here. Users can also use the model without logging in.

Gadgets 360 staff members tested out the AI model and found its image generation capability to be on par with Google’s Imagen 2. The instruction following and image output quality is slightly lower than Imagen-3 and OpenAI’s GPT-4o-powered image generation feature. However, its generation time is faster than both of them, and it has a higher rate limit than them.

On its GitHub page, the company said that the Qwen VLo comes with improved image understanding, which enables it to make better inline edits without distorting the structural integrity of the input image. This also improves the overall quality of the output. The model also better understands vague and open-ended prompts, and can generate images that are aligned with user expectations.

Apart from image generation and editing, the Qwen VLo can also perform image annotation-related tasks such as edge detection, segmentation, prediction mapping, and more. The company said the future version of the model will also be able to accept multiple input images and combine them based on user requests.

Text rendering has also been improved with the latest AI image generator. We were able to generate accurate text across different fonts in our testing of the model. Finally, the Qwen VLo also supports images with dynamic aspect ratios as input, including extreme ratios such as 4:1 and 1:3. The company plans to add the feature to generate images in different aspect ratios soon.

Jensen Huang, Other Nvidia Insiders Sold Over $1 Billion in Stock Amid Market Surge: Report

Nvidia insiders sold over $1 billion (roughly Rs. 8,575 crore) worth of company stock in the past year, with a notable uptick in recent trading activity as executives capitalize on surging investor interest in artificial intelligence, the Financial Times reported on Sunday.

More than $500 million (roughly Rs. 4,287 crore) of the share sales took place this month as the California-based chip designer’s share price climbed to an all-time high, the report said.

Jensen Huang, Nvidia’s chief executive, started selling shares this week for the first time since September, the SEC filing showed.

Nvidia’s stock hit a record on Wednesday, and the chipmaker reclaimed the crown as the world’s most valuable company after an analyst said the chipmaker was set to ride a “Golden Wave” of artificial intelligence.

Its latest gains reflect the U.S. stock market’s return to the “AI trade” that fueled massive gains in chip stocks and related technology companies in recent years on optimism about the emerging technology.

Nvidia declined to comment on the FT report.

Reuters could not immediately confirm the report.

Nvidia’s shares have rebounded over 60 percent from their closing low on April 4, when Wall Street was reeling from President Donald Trump’s global tariff announcements. U.S. stocks, including Nvidia, have recovered on expectations the White House will reach trade deals to soften the tariffs.
