Google Pixel 10 to Miss Out on Vapour Chamber, Wi-Fi 7, and More: Report

Google’s Pixel 10 series is rumoured to be unveiled at a Made by Google event on August 20. The handsets are expected to arrive in stores a week later. While the company has yet to confirm these dates officially, numerous details about the Pixel 10 series have leaked online. The base model is said to come with many upgrades, including a new triple rear camera unit, improved audio, and enhanced stabilisation for video recording. However, a new report suggests that the Pixel 10 may miss out on certain crucial features.

Pixel 10 May Skip These Features

According to Android Headlines, Google will not include a vapour chamber in the standard Pixel 10. The presence of a vapour chamber will help boost performance, particularly under heavy loads or while running games. Google skipped this feature for last year’s Pixel 9, but the Pixel 9 Pro came with a vapour chamber cooling system.

Further, the report states that the Pixel 10 will also lack Wi-Fi 7 support. If this turns out to be true, it would be a notable step back from the Pixel 9, which does support Wi-Fi 7.

Google is said to be working on a feature called “Ultra Res Zoom” as an advanced version of Super Res Zoom. The report claims that this feature will be limited to the Pixel 10 Pro models. While Super Res Zoom provided up to 8x zoom, the report states that the “Ultra Res Zoom will be able to go much further.”

Additionally, Pixel 10 will reportedly skip the ultra-stable video recording feature as well. The vanilla model is said to come with matte sides and a glossy back, similar to its predecessor.

Earlier leaks suggested that the Pixel 10 will come with several upgrades like a revamped triple rear camera unit comprising a telephoto lens, improved loudspeaker performance, and gimbal-level image stabilisation. The lineup is rumoured to be announced at a Made by Google that will reportedly take place on August 20, with sales said to start on August 28. The new Pixel 10 lineup is expected to run on the Tensor G5 chipset.

Nothing Phone 3 to Bring Animated Pixel Art Alerts via Glyph Matrix: Report

Nothing Phone 3 will be unveiled globally on July 1 alongside the Nothing Headphone 1. The company recently confirmed that the upcoming handset will ditch the Glyph Interface in favour of the new Glyph Matrix. In a recent interview, the head of design at Nothing explained why the company made the choice and what buyers can expect from the new interface. The Phone 3 is confirmed to be equipped with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset.

Nothing Phone 3 to Feature Animated Pixel Art Alerts Via Glyph Matrix

In to an interview with Design Milk, Adam Bates, Head of Design at Nothing, revealed that the Glyph Matrix on the Phone 3 is meant to retain the essence of the proprietary Glyph Interface while making it more efficient.

The smaller Glyph Matrix, which appears in a circle at the top right corner of the back panel, replaces the larger LED light strips of the Glyph Interface on earlier models with a compact cluster of micro-LEDs. This new design is said to support pixel-level animations, symbolic visuals, and reactive lighting synced with sound and user actions.

Bates adds that the Glyph Matrix offers greater programmability due to its micro-LED cluster design, whereas the segmented LED strips were more limited in this regard. The upgraded design will also let users personalise lighting effects for different apps and notifications. In addition to being a design upgrade, the smaller Glyph Matrix on the Nothing Phone 3 has reportedly allowed the company to explore improved hardware layouts by freeing up internal space.

Notably, the dot-matrix panel on the Nothing Phone 3 resembles the AniMe Vision feature on the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro.

Nothing Phone 3 Specifications

The Nothing Phone 3 is confirmed to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC. The handset will receive five years of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. The Phone 3 is expected to offer three 50-megapixel cameras at the back, including a periscope telephoto and an ultrawide. The handset is said to offer a 50-megapixel selfie snapper. It will likely pack a 5,150mAh battery and a 6.7-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display.

Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition With Xbox App, Complementary Game Pass Ultimate Subscription Launched

Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition was launched on Tuesday. It is a limited edition model of the affordable mixed reality (MR) headset that was first introduced by Meta in September 2024. The Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition comes with a preloaded Xbox app that serves as a hub through which users can launch game titles via the Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta). It ships with a limited edition Xbox Wireless Controller and carries similar specifications as the standard variant. Meta has equipped it with 4K Infinite+ displays and full-colour passthrough capabilities that support the MR experience.

Meta Quest 3S price starts at $399.99 (roughly Rs. 34,300) in the US. It is available in a single 128GB configuration and in Xbox Carbon Black and Velocity Green colour option. The headset can be purchased right now in limited quantities via the Meta Store and Best Buy in the US and Argos and EE in the UK.

The MR headset ships with complementary three month subscriptions of Meta Horizon+ and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, granting players access to a library of hundreds of games and exclusive deals.

Developed in collaboration with Meta, Microsoft has equipped the Quest 3S Xbox Edition with a preloaded Xbox app. This, coupled with the complementary Game Pass Ultimate subscription, allows players to access a library of games via the Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta). They can enjoy popular titles like Avowed, Forza Motorsport, South of Midnight, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered on the MR headset.

Further, they can stream from over 100 supported cloud-playable gaming titles which they have previously purchased, even if they are not a part of Game Pass Ultimate.

The MR headset also ships with a limited edition Xbox Wireless Controller which is pre-paired and can be used to play Xbox games. It has the same features as the standard controller which is bundled with the Xbox Series X and S consoles, but gets a Carbon Black chassis with Velocity Green highlights on the face buttons and analogue sticks.

Alternatively, users can also pair an Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 or Xbox Adaptive Controller with the Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition, purchased separately. The headset also supports cross-play and cross-progression. This essentially means that players can start the game on their Quest 3S Xbox Edition headset and continue playing on their Xbox console without losing their achievements or progress.

The rest of the specifications remain the same as the standard model. The Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition sports 4K+ Infinite screens on top of pancake lenses, having a resolution of 2064×2208 pixels per eye and a wide field of view (FoV). It is powered by the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 platform and has 8GB of RAM.

The MR headset runs on Meta Horizon OS, which is claimed to have been rebuilt for spatial experiences. This is helped by full-colour passthrough support, improved spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, and Theatre View.

As per Meta, the Quest 3S, along with the Xbox Edition model, is better suited for 2D apps like Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. There’s a Travel Mode which makes it easier to use the headset during transit. Users can also take help from the Meta AI assistant via a simple “Hey Meta” wake up command.

Why Now Is the Time to Upgrade: The End of Windows 10 and the Start of a Safer, Smarter Future

Why Now Is the Time to Upgrade: The End of Windows 10 and the Start of a Safer, Smarter Future

It’s a regular Monday morning. With a cup of coffee in hand, you sit down at your computer and get ready to cross off everything on your list. And then you see something that grabs your attention. A little message will pop up in the corner of your screen that says, ‘Windows 10 support is ending soon.’ For a moment, you ignore it, as your PC has been running great for years. But while you drink your coffee, you wonder, what does this mean? Is it just another update?

The truth is that the end of Windows 10 support isn’t just another normal update. It’s a turning point, a moment that calls for a decision. And the decision you make now could have a big effect on your safety, productivity, and peace of mind.

What Does End of Support Really Mean?

When Microsoft announces the end of support for an operating system like Windows 10, it means that after a certain date, your computer will no longer receive those important updates. This includes security patches, bug fixes, and other technical support. In other words, your PC will be left to fight in a world where cyber threats are constantly evolving.

Imagine leaving your front door unlocked in a busy neighborhood. At first, nothing happens. But over time, the risk grows. Hackers are always looking for vulnerabilities, and an unsupported system is always an open invitation. Without regular updates, even the most careful users can fall victim to malware, ransomware, or day-to-day growing data breaches.

Hidden Risks of Staying on Windows 10

We know it’s easy to think, ‘If it isn’t broken, why fix it?’ But the risks of going ahead with Windows 10 are far beyond minor issues. Let’s breakdown one by one what you could actually have to suffer:

Security Vulnerabilities:

Cybercriminals are quick to attack outdated software. Once support ends, any new weaknesses discovered in Windows 10 will remain unpatched. This puts your personal information, data, and even your identity at risk.

Compatibility Issues:

As software developing companies mainly focus on newer operating systems, many apps and programs will stop working properly on Windows 10. You might also find out that your favourite tools, games, or work apps no longer receive updates or run as smoothly they used to before.

Loss of Productivity:

Without updates, your PC may become slower and less reliable over time. Crashes, freezes, and other unexpected errors can totally delay your work and cause frustration, especially if you rely on your computer for office or college.

No Technical Support:

If you run into problems, you’ll be on your own. Microsoft and other tech companies will stop offering help for Windows 10, leaving you without guidance when you need it most.

Benefits of Upgrading: More Than Just a New Look

Upgrading to a new Windows 11 Copilot+ PC isn’t just about staying in the trend, it’s about unlocking a better, safer, and more enjoyable computing experience.

Enhanced Security:

Windows 11 is built with the latest security features to protect you from modern threats. From advanced encryption to smarter firewalls, your data stays safe. Plus, with regular updates, you’re always protected against the latest risks.

Seamless Productivity:

Windows 11 has been created to help you get more done, faster. The new interface is clean and intuitive, making it easier to find what you need. It comes loaded with so many great AI features like Cocreator in Paint, Restyle Image and Image Creator in Photos to bring their ideas to life in a matter of seconds. And with so many other tools, you’ll be easily able to organise your work your way. With Microsoft Copilot, you get AI-powered assistance that can help you write emails, schedule meetings, or even summarise documents in seconds.

Future-Ready Technology:

Windows 11 Copilot+ PCs are built for what’s next. Whether you’re into gaming, creative work, or just staying connected, you’ll enjoy faster speeds, longer battery life, and support for the latest hardware and software.

Effortless Transition:

Worried about moving your files and settings? Don’t be. The data migration process is smoother than ever, with Windows Backup tool that guide you every step of the way. Most apps and files transfer seamlessly, so you can pick up right where you left off.

A Real-Life Story: Devi’s Upgrade Journey

Meet Devi, a small business owner who, like many, was hesitant about upgrading. Her Windows 10 laptop had been her trusty friend for years, handling everything from invoices to video calls and what not. But as the end-of-support date approached, she started noticing more pop-ups and warnings.

At first, Devi ignored them. She was busy, and in her mind the thought of learning a new system felt overwhelming. But after reading about recent cyberattacks on small businesses, she realised the risks were real. And that is when she decided to switch.

The upgrade process surprised her, it was quick, and she didn’t lose any files. Within a day, she was running on Windows 11. The new AI-powered features made her daily tasks easier, and she loved the peace of mind knowing her data was secure.

Don’t Wait Until It’s Too Late

The end of Windows 10 support is coming, whether we’re ready or not. Ignoring it won’t make the risks go away, in fact, it only makes them greater. Moving to a new Windows 11 PC isn’t just about getting the latest features, it’s about protecting what matters most which is your privacy, your productivity, and your peace of mind.

If you’re still on Windows 10, now is the time to act. Explore your options and get your Windows 11 Copilot+ PC. You should know that you’ll be joining millions of others who have already made the switch. And discover how much better life can be with the right technology. You’ll notice the difference right away, in speed, security, and peace of mind.

Your Windows 11 Copilot+ PC Is Waiting

Change can be scary, but it can also be an opportunity. The end of Windows 10 support is a chance to move on from old risks and get ready for a future where your computer works for you instead of against you. Don’t let anything hold you back. Make the change today!

Exclusive Upgrade Offers

There’s never been a better time to switch to a Windows 11 Copilot+ PC. And now, it comes with a great deal. When you exchange your old Windows 10 laptop, you can get up to Rs. 15,000 off on your new Windows 11 Copilot+ PC. Explore the latest upgrade offers at: www.flipkart.com/win10-eos-store.

Google Earth Gets Upgraded With Historical Street View Imagery, AI-Driven Insights to Arrive Soon

Google Earth is getting a new feature on the occasion of its 20th anniversary. The 3D interactive map and globe application completed its 20th anniversary on June 10, and to mark the occasion, the Mountain View-based tech giant is adding the historical Street View imagery feature. The feature was first added to Maps last year, and now it is also being expanded to Google Earth. With this, users will be able to see images of a neighbourhood across different years.

Google Earth Completes 20 Years

In a blog post, the tech giant announced the new feature for Google Earth and said, “Today, we’re celebrating this milestone birthday by bringing historical Street View imagery to Google Earth.” With this feature, users can view different areas of the planet as they looked in different years. The feature supports a bird’s eye view as well as street view.

Notably, the feature was first introduced in Google Maps in September 2024. It allows users to explore the evolving geography of a particular place using the company’s library of satellite and aerial images. The Maps version of the feature lets users go as far as 80 years in the past. This feature also trended on social media as users tried to revisit their childhood homes.

Apart from the novelty, Google claims that the feature will also help general users and experts in understanding how forests, lakes, and other geographies are affected by the changing climate and human intervention.

Historical Street View imagery on Maps also offered a Timelapse mode that shows a slideshow of a location’s changes over a period of time. This feature is said to be an interactive experience built from millions of satellite images.

Google is also introducing Gemini-powered AI-driven insights for Google Earth Pro users. This feature will let users ask information about geographies such as the Earth’s total tree canopy coverage, and more. The company will let users ask natural language queries and get answers from Google Earth’s data. This feature will be added in the coming weeks, the tech giant said.
