Adobe has launched yet another app for the iPhone, building upon its recent releases of Firefly and Photoshop on the App Store. The US-based company has introduced Project Indigo, a dedicated camera app developed by Adobe Labs which leverages computational photography to capture up to 32 frames and combine them into a single photo. It uses artificial intelligence (AI) to store images in both standard dynamic range (SDR) and high dynamic range (HDR). Adobe says Project Indigo is said to be compatible with the Camera Raw and Lightroom apps.

Adobe Project Indigo App for iPhone: Features

In a research article, Adobe detailed its new Project Indigo app. With Project Indigo, Adobe aims to tackle the issue of “smartphone look” — images which are overly bright, have low contrast, high colour saturation, high smoothing, and strongly sharpened details. While these appear fine on a small screen, seeing them on a bigger display can result in an “unrealistic look”, as per the company.

This is where Project Indigo comes in. It is available as a free-to-download experimental app on the App Store for iPhone. The app offers full manual controls, with tools like aperture, exposure time, ISO, focus, and white balance, with the latter also having separate control over temperature and tint.

Opening the app brings up two modes — Photo and Night — meant for daylight and night photography, respectively. The latter is said to use longer exposure to minimise noise and capture more frames with each press of the shutter. It also improves stabilisation and reduces hand-shake when capturing long-exposure images at night. Adobe says Project Indigo brings a more natural “SLR-like” look to images and in the highest possible quality.

The app is powered by computational photography and is claimed to under-expose images more strongly than most cameras. Further, it also captures, aligns, and combines up to 32 frames, resulting in photos with fewer blown-out highlights, less noise in shadows, and a better picture overall.

Employing the aforementioned methods means less spatial denoising is required, explains Adobe. It is claimed to preserve more natural textures, even if it means leaving a bit of noise in the image. The benefits of computational photography are applied to both JPEG and raw photos.

As per the company, Project Indigo also improves pinch-zoom on iPhone by employing multi-frame super resolution. It is claimed to restore image quality which is usually lost by digital scaling when the camera focuses on the centre part of the image while zooming in. The app captures multiple images of the same scene, combining them into a single image, known as a “super resolution photo”. Adobe says it features more details than what is present in a single image.

Project Indigo is compatible with Apple’s Pro models starting with iPhone 12 series. It is also available on iPhone 14 and later non-Pro models. At the moment, the app is completely free-to-use and does not require sign-in. Adobe says it will also introduce a similar app for Android devices in time. 

Oppo Find X9 Pro is expected to arrive later this year as a successor to last year’s Oppo Find X8 Pro. While nothing official has been revealed yet, a recent leak suggests the phone’s potential camera configuration. The upcoming Find X9 Pro is said to pack a triple rear camera setup, comprising a 200-megapixel telephoto periscope sensor. The new phone is likely to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset. 

Camera Details of Oppo Find X9 Pro Leaked

Tipster Digital Chat Station has hinted at the possible camera configuration of the Oppo Find X9 Pro on Weibo. It is said that the phone may feature a triple rear camera unit, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens.

Oppo is said to use a new Samsung ISOCELL HP5 28nm imaging sensor on the Find X9 Pro. It is said to be a 1/1.56-inch sensor with support for DCG-HDR (Dual Conversion Gain HDR) technology. The tipster suggests that the new camera setup offers good 10x zoom quality.

The Oppo Find X9 Pro could be the first phone to feature a 200-megapixel Samsung HP5 sensor on the periscope camera. The tipster also opined that the telephoto capabilities of the new phone may not be as good as the dual periscope setup of the Oppo Find X8 Pro.

The leak indicates that Oppo is trying to replace the existing four-camera, dual-periscope system with a new triple rear camera setup. The company has packed a quad rear camera unit on the Find X8 Pro, led by a 50-megapixel LYT-808 sensor. The camera setup also includes a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 periscope telephoto camera, and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 periscope telephoto sensor.

Oppo Find X9 Pro is expected to launch in the Chinese market in the fourth quarter of this year alongside Find X9, Find X9 Plus, and Find X9 Ultra models. The Oppo Find X9 Pro is rumoured to come with a 6.78-inch display. It is likely to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC.

Nintendo Switch 2 has had a phenomenally successful launch, selling over 3.5 million units and becoming Nintendo’s fastest-selling hardware ever. The same, however, can’t be said for third-party titles that were released on the platform on day one. Switch 2 versions of existing games from third-party publishers like CD Projekt Red, Warner Bros., EA, Sega, 2K, among others launched alongside the new console earlier this month, but sales have reportedly been disappointing.

Third-Party Sales on Switch 2 Disappoint

According to data compiled by The Game Business, third-party sales on the Switch 2 during the console’s launch window have bettered that on the Switch 1, but not by much. Most third-party publishers have recorded “very low” sales numbers despite the Switch 2 selling millions of units, the report claimed citing data from various market analytics firms. One unnamed third-party publisher, in fact, reportedly said its Switch 2 sales failed to meet its “lowest estimates”.

CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077, however, was the exception. According to NielsenIQ data cited in the report, the RPG was the best-selling third-party title during Switch 2’s launch period, beating sales of The Witcher 3 on the Switch 1.

Sega was the third biggest publisher in terms of sales during Switch 2 launch, behind first-party Nintendo sales and CD Projekt Red, according to data from Circana. The publisher released Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut, Sonic X Shadow Generations and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S as launch titles on the Switch 2.

Unsurprisingly, Nintendo first-party titles formed the major chunk of Switch 2 game sales at launch. According to the report, first-party games made up 86 percent of Switch 2 physical game sales in the UK during launch week, including the Mario Kart World bundle. In the US, these titles contributed to 62 percent of Switch 2 physical game sales in the launch week, excluding Mario Kart World Bundle.

First-party games released on the Switch 2 on launch day include Mario Kart World, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour. In general, Switch 2 owners have favoured physical releases, which form over 80 percent of retail sales for games released both digitally and physically, the report said.

Nintendo Switch 2 launched on June 5 and went on to sell 3.5 million units in its launch week. The hybrid console is Nintendo’s fastest-selling game system ever. Switch 2 also set the record for all-time launch week unit sales for video game hardware in the US, beating the PS4.

Cybersecurity researchers have discovered a “mysterious database” comprising a staggering record of 16 billion login credentials, in what is being called one of the biggest data breaches in history. According to a report, it impacted some of the world’s biggest technology companies including Apple, Facebook, and Google, along with government portals from multiple countries. The data breach gave threat actors brief but unprecedented access to personal credentials, posing risk of account takeover, identity theft, and phishing attacks.

Billions of Login Credentials Leaked

According to a report by CyberNews, a majority of the data in the leaked database included information from credential stuffing sets, stealer malware, and repackaged leaks. Researchers say they’ve discovered 30 exposed datasets since the beginning of the year, comprising from tens of millions to over 3.5 billion records each, bringing the total to nearly 16 billion records which have been discovered so far.

Threat actors are speculated to have employed infostealer logs to steal this sensitive data. This breach impacted not just one company, sector, or country, but numerous ones. Apple, Facebook, Google, GitHub, and Telegram were some of the biggest companies to be impacted.

As per the report, it affected social media companies, corporate platforms, VPNs, developer portals, and even government services of various countries. Further, it is suggested that none of the datasets, except for one, were discovered in previous breaches, which means most of the data in the latest breach is fresh.

“What’s especially concerning is the structure and recency of these datasets – these aren’t just old breaches being recycled. This is fresh, weaponizable intelligence at scale”, the publication quoted researchers as saying.

The leaked data had a proper structure, with the URL followed by the login credentials and a password. As per the report, this is a staple method employed by threat actors to steal data. The smallest dataset reportedly had over 16 million records, while the largest one contained more than 3.5 billion. On an average, each dataset comprised 550 million exposed credentials.

Some of the datasets had generic names, such as “credentials” or “logins”. Meanwhile, others also reportedly referenced the services they were stolen from or related to. For example, researchers discovered one dataset named after Telegram which contained 60 million records.

The report states all of the datasets were only briefly exposed, but long enough for cybersecurity personnel to discover them. These were accessible through object storage instances or unsecured Elasticsearch. However, they could not uncover the entity controlling the 16 billion records.

Researchers say data breaches of this scale can be employed by threat actors for running phishing campaigns, taking over accounts, ransomware intrusions, and business email compromise (BEC) attacks.

The phone is currently available for pre-order on the Vivo India website and will be available for purchase via the official website, Flipkart, Amazon, and select retail stores starting June 27.

Vivo Y400 Pro 5G Specifications, Features

The Vivo Y400 Pro 5G sports a 6.77-inch full-HD+ 3D curved AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, up to 4,500 nits peak brightness level, and up to 300Hz touch sampling rate. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage. It ships with Android 15-based FuntouchOS 15.

In the camera department, the Vivo Y400 Pro 5G has a dual rear camera unit, including a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture, and a 2-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calls, the handset has a 32-megapixel sensor with an f/2.45 aperture. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording.

The Vivo Y400 Pro 5G offers AI-based imaging features like AI Photo Enhance and AI Erase 2.0. It comes with several productivity features like AI Note Assist, AI Transcript Assist, AI Screen Translation, and AI Superlink as well. The phone also supports Google’s Circle to Search feature.

Vivo has offered a 5,500mAh battery in the Y400 Pro 5G with support for 90W wired fast charging. Connectivity options include dual nano SIM, 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, OTG and a USB Type-C port. The handset has an IP65-rated dust and water-resistant build. The Nebula Purple variant measures 163.72×75.00×7.49mm in size and weighs about 182g. Meanwhile, the Fest Gold and Freestyle White options have 7.72mm and 7.74mm profiles, respectively.

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 FE is said to be in the works as a successor to the Galaxy S24 FE. While its rumoured launch timeline is a few months away, the first computer-aided design (CAD) renders of the phone have surfaced online, showing off a familiar design. It seems to have a thin design with slim display bezels. The Galaxy S25 FE is expected to ship with a new 12-megapixel front-facing camera and a 6.7-inch display. It is said to run on either an Exynos 2400 or the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor.

Tipster OnLeaks (Steve H.McFly) shared CAD renders of the Galaxy S25 FE in association with SammyGuru, offering an early look at the phone’s design. The upcoming FE model appears to be very similar to the existing Galaxy S24 FE, with three vertically aligned triple rear cameras and a hole-punch display. The new phone also seems to have thinner display bezels.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Specifications (Expected)

As per the leak, the Galaxy S25 FE will get a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is said to measure 161.4 x 76.6 x 7.4mm, which indicates that it could be slimmer than the Galaxy S24 FE, which measures 162 x 77.3 x 8mm, whereas the vanilla Galaxy S25, in contrast, has a 7.2mm thick build. 

Samsung is expected to use either its in-house Exynos 2400 or a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC in the Galaxy S25 FE. It is tipped to feature a 12-megapixel front camera, marking an upgrade from the 10-megapixel selfie shooter available in the Galaxy S24 FE. Like the existing model, the upcoming phone is said to have an 8-megapixel telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom. The handset could ship with One UI 8 and AI features.

The Galaxy S25 FE is likely to be launched in September or early October this year. It is expected to be announced alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE.

Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 soon. Ahead of the launch, official-looking renders of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 have surfaced online. The foldables are expected to be accompanied by a new affordable clamshell, namely the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. Recently, a retailer had leaked the expected storage and colour options for the purported Galaxy Z Flip 7 series and Galaxy Z Fold 7 models.

The upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to be a thinner and lighter offering than the Galaxy Z Flip 6. As per Android Headlines, the phone will be powered by an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, which is said to have a main core clocked at 4.47GHz. However, previous rumours have suggested that the phone may use an Exynos 2500 SoC. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 may retain the 4,000mAh battery from its predecessor. Meanwhile, the dual camera unit of the handset is expected to include a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 12-megapixel ultrawide shooter.

A recent leak suggested that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 will arrive in a third Coral Red colourway, alongside the Blue Shadow and Jet Black shades. Samsung may introduce the phone in other exclusive colour options on its website. The handset is tipped to be available in 256GB and 512GB storage options, similar to the existing Galaxy Z Flip 6.

The leak added that the more affordable Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE could be offered in Black and White colourways. It is expected to support 128GB and 256GB of onboard storage. Meanwhile, the book-style foldable Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to be available in Blue Shadow, Jet Black and Silver Shadow options. It will likely come in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage options.

Samsung is expected to hold its Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9 in New York. The brand is expected to launch the aforementioned foldables, Galaxy Watch 8 smartwatches, and more.

YouTube will soon integrate Google’s latest artificial intelligence (AI)-powered video generation model, CEO Neal Mohan announced at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2025 on Wednesday. It will support improved video generation capabilities powered by the Mountain View-based tech giant’s recently released Veo 3 video generation AI model. It is said to enable users to create AI-generated backgrounds and video clips for Shorts, delivering improved video quality alongside more upgrades.

In a blog post, CEO Neal Mohan said that YouTube is already providing creators with powerful AI tools like Dream Screen that supercharge creativity by letting them generate AI backgrounds and video clips for the Shorts platform. The video-streaming company will further enhance this by integrating Google Deepmind’s recently introduced Veo 3 video generation model.

It is expected to bring improvements to the quality of the generated video, alongside support for audio. YouTube says it will be introduced “this summer” although there is no definite timeline for its arrival.

Introduced at Google I/O 2025 in May, Veo 3 supports native audio generation, incorporating ambient sounds, background noise, and dialogues. Further, the video generation model is also said to improve prompt adherence, real-world physics, and accurate lip syncing.

The company official also highlighted how YouTube’s AI offerings are helping break down barriers. Auto Dubbing, which translates video across nine languages, has been used to expand the reach of more than 20 million videos since the feature’s arrival on the platform six months ago.

Notably, Canva also recently added a new text-to-video tool, which is powered by Google’s Veo 3 model. Dubbed Create a Video Clip, the feature lets users generate a video clip with cinematic-quality video rendering and native audio generation. Once a video is generated, it can be fine-tuned using multiple tools in Canva’s Video Editor.

Create a Video Clip is part of the Canva AI suite and thus, only available to paid subscribers. At present, the company has set an initial limit of five video generations per month but it is working on expanding its capabilities.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is rumoured to go official on July 9 alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7 at a Galaxy Unpacked event. Ahead of its anticipated debut, alleged official-looking renders of the purported handset have surfaced online suggesting the change in its thickness compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6, as well as two of the possible colourways. Meanwhile, a retailer has also leaked the possible storage options of Samsung’s seventh generation Galaxy Z Fold smartphones.

When placed side-by-side the Galaxy Z Fold 6, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 appears to have a significantly thinner profile; between 3.9mm and 4.5mm. This also potentially means that the handset could cut down on the overall weight for better ergonomics.

This revelation is in line with the official information that we have so far. The South Korean tech conglomerate has teased the purported Galaxy Z Fold 7 to be the ‘thinnest, lightest and most advanced foldable yet’.

In a separate development, a Finland-based retailer has reportedly leaked the storage variants of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7, and they are exactly the same as last year.

Samsung may offer the book-style foldable smartphone in three configurations — 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. It is anticipated to arrive in Blue Shadow, Jet Black, and Silver Shadow shades, although the first may not be available on the top-end configuration.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 could arrive in only two storage capacity options of 256GB, and 512GB. It will reportedly be available in Blue Shadow, Coral Red, and Jet Black colourways.

Additionally, the Galaxy Z Flip FE, a more affordable version of the clamshell-style foldable, will reportedly be offered in 128GB and 256GB variants. As for the colour options, the purported handset may come in simple black and white colour options.
