On the occasion of J.R.D. Tata’s 121st birth anniversary, Amazon MX Player and Almighty Motion Picture unveiled the first look of Made in India – A Titan Story, with veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah portraying the industrialist and visionary. The upcoming biographical series highlights the legacy of Tata, whose leadership helped shape modern India’s industrial landscape.

Directed by Robby Grewal and written by Karan Vyas, the six-part series explores the formation of Titan — one of India’s most iconic consumer brands. Alongside Shah, the show features Jim Sarbh as Xerxes Desai, the founding managing director of Titan. The cast also includes Namita Dubey, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, Kaveri Seth, Lakshvir Saran, and Paresh Ganatra.

Made in India – A Titan Story is adapted from Vinay Kamath’s book Titan: Inside India’s Most Successful Consumer Brand, and traces the partnership between Tata and Desai during the 1980s. It chronicles how they navigated bureaucratic and financial challenges to build a company that revolutionised the Indian watch industry.

Director Grewal said, “Bringing J.R.D. Tata’s legacy to life has been an inspiring journey. His contribution was not just about business, but also about building purpose-driven institutions. With Naseeruddin Shah in the lead, we’ve tried to bring depth and authenticity to this important story.”

Produced by Prabhleen Sandhu of Almighty Motion Picture, the series is expected to premiere in early 2026 on Amazon MX Player. It will be available for free viewing on the platform.

Shah, who recently turned 75, continues to take on prominent roles in cinema and streaming. He was last seen in IC814: The Kandahar Hijack on Netflix.
